ALP February 17, 2010 2ND SEAAN & Astronomy Congress Participation Report

Last February 17, members of the Astronomical League of the Philippines (ALP) were invited by RTU & DOST-PAGASA to represent ALP to the 2nd South East Asian Astronomy Network (SEAAN) and Astronomy Congress.  They were ALP President James Kevin Ty, Treasurer Henry So, PRO Armando Lee,  Christopher Go, Pejvak Parhizkari, Bel Pabunan and  Liza Quitlong.  Bel Pabunan as well as Liza Quitlong also represented the National Museum Planetarium.  Other members of ALP who were also present to manned the ALP Info Booth, as well as AstroCamp Observatory Info Booth were Marc Ian Singson, Michael Cruspero, Christopher Lee, Mark Anthony Honrade, Rosalyn Penol, and Roldan de Guia.

ALPers Christopher Go as well as Roldan de Guia were also there at the event to present their talks on Red Spot, Jr and A Theoretical  Framework For Cosmochemistry Research in the Philippines respectively.

More than 250+ participants attended the event!

The event started at 9:30am and ended at around 6:00pm and followed by the dinner hosted to the SEAAN and Astronomy Congress members and guests at Legend Villa.  ALP would like to congratulate our astro partner Rizal Technological University (RTU) as well as DOST-PAGASA for a job well done in hosting a successful event !
